PLUSNEXT provides managed IT, cloud, network and software services. As we develop our analytical services, we are looking for a Junior Data & Market Research Analyst to support customer reporting and research into new service and market opportunities.
You will work under the day-to-day guidance of Sava Tuna Tuncer, our Commercial Data & Market Intelligence Analyst, with formal reporting to the Director. Your focus will be preparing dependable data, maintaining reports and carrying out focused research that supports the team’s analysis and recommendations.
What you will do
- Collect, organise and clean authorised customer and business data, checking missing values, duplicates and inconsistencies.
- Update Excel reports and Power BI dashboards using agreed measures and reporting schedules.
- Use basic SQL queries and spreadsheet analysis to answer defined questions about customer activity and operational performance.
- Research companies, sectors and competitors; record sources and prepare concise summaries of relevant findings.
- Maintain structured prospect and opportunity lists to support new-market research and customer discussions.
- Prepare charts and first-draft analysis notes for review; document data sources, assumptions and reporting steps, and flag issues promptly.
What you will bring
- Confidence using Excel to organise and analyse data, including formulas and pivot tables.
- A foundation in SQL and an understanding of how dashboards and business reports are built.
- Careful attention to accuracy and the ability to explain what a dataset does and does not show.
- Structured research skills, clear written communication and willingness to act on feedback.
- Relevant coursework, personal projects, an internship or work experience in data analysis, business or market research.
Hands-on Power BI experience or exposure to CRM data would be useful. We welcome applicants at an early stage of their analytical career who can demonstrate these skills.
Working arrangement and application
The role is based in Feltham with hybrid working. You will support both recurring customer reporting and defined research assignments within the analytical services team.
